Before you start

The questions people actually ask about Momentum OS — the workout tracker and calorie counter built around consistency.

Do I need an account to use Momentum?

No. The app is fully functional signed out — logging, workouts, streaks, XP and the global league all work. An account exists so you can sign in on another device and appear on real leaderboards, and it syncs only the stats those need.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your data lives in a database on your device, so logging a meal or a workout never needs a connection. Only the AI features and live leaderboards require one.

How is my calorie target worked out?

Momentum reverse-computes your actual total daily energy expenditure from what you log and a smoothed trend of your weigh-ins, blended against a Mifflin-St Jeor prior while your data is thin. It recalibrates weekly, clamped to a sane rate of change, so the target follows your real metabolism rather than a one-off formula.

What does the muscle heat map actually show?

Weekly training volume per muscle head — biceps long versus short head, anterior, lateral and posterior delts, and so on — scored against target bands for each. Heads that fall short get flagged, so you see the gap before it becomes an imbalance.

What is the difference between Pro and Elite?

Pro ($9.99/month) is the adaptive nutrition and training engine. Elite ($16.99/month) is Pro plus both add-ons — AI Coach and Labs & Longevity — for less than buying them separately. You can also add either one to Pro on its own.

Can I get my data out, or delete it?

Yes. Deleting the app — or Settings, then Reset all local data — permanently removes the on-device copy. If you made an account you can delete it and its cloud backup from the account deletion page linked in the footer.
